The occasion was the Independence Day celebrations of Nigeria in Chennai, south India on 7 April 1995. Thousands of youth leaders have gathered to cheer up Nigerians. In a public conversation between two budding young leaders of India and Pakistan, SFH (Students for Harmony) was born. When time passed away people of all age groups and places have joined SFH. In 2008 it was decided to drop Students for Harmony and simply call it SFH to involve everyone.
In the last few decades SFH has grown it to a global movement in a true sense. Today 2715 members from 88 countries are involved in the mission of world peace creation.

- Petitioning the world leaders frequently to work for a broader universal harmony
- To function as a powerful global movement and silently solve problems popping up in different parts of the world
- Without seeking petty publicity and expecting narrow gains SFH to work as a true global arm for betterment of all
- Sending well trained members to the pillars of governance
